We are looking for an Information and Advice Triage Officer to join the team at DiAS. The role is part-time (30 hours per week), permanent and based in Exeter.
In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for parents, carers, children and young people (CYP) who contact the service. You will listen, ask questions and then use a solutions-focused approach to give impartial information and advice. Our aim is to help families feel empowered and understood and to help them take part effectively in decision-making.
We are a strong and supportive team with a wide range of backgrounds and experience. We’re looking for a new team member who is highly organised, with excellent communication skills. You will also need to be able to show empathy and diplomacy, and to interact sensitively with parent carers and young people. You will have good listening skills too and be able to take complex information and make it understandable and useable for a lay audience.
If this sounds like you, find out more about the role on the Devon County Council jobs website.
Closing date is 31 October 2022.
DiAS (Devon, Information, Advice and Support) supports children and young people aged 0-25 with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), and their parents and carers.
