How we can help...

DIAS gives information advice and support about special educational needs. You can contact us about any SEND issue, including those that are about health and social care needs. We give advice and support to parent carers who have a child with SEN, with or without a diagnosis.

Parent carer information

Our parent carer section of the website has legally-based, accessible information abut a wide range of topics. Based on the questions parents ask us everyday, it's full of practical tips and strategies.

Training and events

One of the ways that DIAS supports parents is by sharing our knowledge and expertise. That includes our 'Making Sense of' training programme and drop-in information and advice sessions.

Our Service

What are you looking for?

DIAS is a service for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities, aged up to 25, and their parents or carers. We give information, advice and support around SEND issues at every stage of a child’s education, including into further education and adulthood.

We have an enquiry line which deals with telephone and email requests for information and support, a wide range of information resources on our website and a training programme for parent
carers. The Ambassador Volunteer programme also provides community based support across Devon.
